Steel Barrels

Middle East Manufacturing Steel LLC produces and supplies rigid and new steel drums to all the user industries in the region that require packaging for their products. MEM Steel has brought the latest advanced technologies in Barrel Manufacturing from India for the manufacturing of 210 liter steel barrels with an annual production capacity of 250,000 barrels for the end applications such as storage of paints, chemicals, oil, lubricants and so on.

MEM Steel manufactures steel drums according to international standards such as ISO 15750:2002, BS 814-1:1987, BS 2003:1987, EN 209:2000, EN 210:1986, ANSI MH2-1997 etc.Our steel drums conform to the highest safety guidelines, and are certified for sea and road transportation of hazardous chemicals. We produces two types of drums, Tight Head and Open Top designs, which have been approved with UN markings and depending on the product to be filled; a suitable drum could be chosen. The drums are fitted with high quality closures. Drums can be supplied either with corrugations on the body which improve the resistance to denting, or without corrugations.

The thickness of steel in these drums ranges from 0.70 mm to 1.20 mm. The drums are with seven fold triple seam. They are also with a “W” design rolling hoops (or beads) which permits optimum stuffing of drums in shipping containers.

Externally the drums are painted with high quality, specially formulated stoving enamel paint with a minimum 20 microns thickness. Optionally the drums can be Screen Printed on the body or on the top with company logo and / or product details.

MEM Steel provides developmental and technical support services to the clients such as proper advices on selection of drum specifications for the product to be filled, especially for hazardous substances, for example, packing of lubricants and brake fluids, we suggest our Tight Head Steel Drums of 210 liter capacity. For Greases we provide Open Head drums of 200 liter capacity. For packing coatings we suggest our New Tight Head Steel Drums of 210 liter capacity and New Open Head drums of 200 liter capacity both. If it is for Thinners and Solvents, our clients can select our Tight Head Steel Drums of 210 liter capacity.
